Take action on unpaid placements! Email Jason Clare.

All work should be paid – including university placements!

Our voices are being heard. The Australian Universities Accord report echoed our calls for urgent reform in unpaid university placements so we’re using this momentum to press the Government for change.

Could you spare 2 minutes to email Jason Clare, the Minister for Education about this?

Your advocacy is critical at this moment. As we approach the Federal budget in May, we have a real opportunity to influence decisions that could positively impact the future of student placements.

We have prepared a template for you to use, but remember, the most compelling messages are personal. If you can, please customise your email to express why you personally believe in the necessity of paid work for all.

Your voice has power. Together, we can send a clear message: it's time to end unpaid placements and ensure students are financially supported through their education and into their careers.

Take the next step in our campaign to end unpaid placements >> send this message to the Government today.

By your side,

The Services Union

P.S. After you’ve emailed Jason Clare, please forward this action to a friend or colleague. The more messages we send, the more likely we are to bring about meaningful change in the budget.

ASU: All work should be paid. It is time students are paid for compulsory Community Services Degree placements.
