Have you ever had an opportunity to think about what it takes to be a Workplace Delegate?

Plenty of people have thought about why they wouldn’t want to be the brave soul standing up on behalf of, and in support of other union members – let’s be honest, it seems scary!

Our Workplace Delegates put their hand up to help regardless and our union thinks their efforts should be recognised and would like your input.

Each year The Services Union seeks to find out who is our Workplace Delegate of the Year. All of our Workplace Delegates deserve recognition, but that Workplace Delegate of the Year is someone who goes above and beyond and demonstrates four key attributes: selflessness, energy, leadership and principles as they take on the tasks associated in making Real Change in their workplace.

If you know a great Workplace Delegate and would like to nominate them for the Workplace Delegate of the Year please read the criteria, and complete the nomination form found by clicking here.

Please include any information you can to support the nomination, outlining the personal attributes you think make them a good candidate. Completed nomination forms can be emailed to jane.grey@theservicesunion.com.au by 14 May 2017.

Each Industry Divisional Committee will consider their respective nominations before making their recommendation to our unions Executive who will determine the Delegate of the Year.

Our Workplace Delegates do a lot of work behind the scenes and in their own time, so let’s take this opportunity to recognise their great work.
