Brisbane City Council - Fix this mess

Our Union knows how hard you work every day at Brisbane City Council to deliver vital frontline services to the community. Over the last month Services Union Delegates and organisers have been out and about talking to members and encouraging those not in the Union to sign up. Delegates and organisers have had 100’s of conversations and over the last month alone we have seen unprecedented numbers of new members joining our union!

We got a huge response to our log of claims survey and we are busy working with your Delegates developing a draft log of claims ready for member endorsement meetings in the coming weeks. There is a very strong sentiment that staff are doing significantly more with less resources – the Council needs to fix the mess
 
In the meantime, we met with Council management yesterday to discuss upcoming EBA negotiation timelines and protocols. It is looking like negotiations will begin at the end of May after all parties have their log of claims ready.
