Celebrate your wins at the negotiation table

The Services Union played a key role in the most recent Enterprise Agreement negotiations resulting in the following improvements to your employment conditions at EQL:

1.      Annual wage increases (Y1 4.5%, Y2 4.5%, Y3 3.5%, Y4 3%).
2.      Introduction of the following allowances:
a. $4.00 per hour attraction and retention Allowance – Technical Sub Streams (indexed).
b.  $2.50 per hour attraction and retention Allowance – Administration, Professional/Managerial and Engineering Streams (indexed).
c.  $5,000.00 per annum RPEQ Allowance.
3.      Time based pay progression for employees.
4.      Enhancing superannuation contribution rate to be paid at 14.75% by 1 July 2024.
5.      All overtime paid at double-time (currently paid at 1.5 for first three hours).
6.      Enhancements to parental leave provisions (both primary and secondary) by allowing new parents to access up to 20 additional days of leave.
7.      Classification Review: A commitment from EQL to work with Unions to review and modernise the classification structure and career path documents within three months of the Agreement coming into effect.

These outcomes could not have been achieved without the efforts of you and your fellow Union members.

It’s through members participation and our strength in numbers that we can continue to create positive change at EQL and our employment conditions.

Also don’t forget to make your union membership work for you by claiming your union fees as a tax deduction and accessing your member benefits.  Remember there are savings to be made through free wills and discounts on big ticket items like IT & Sound! These are all easy to access via your member portal here.
