It’s Time at Toowoomba Regional Council

Members of The Services Union at Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) have made their intent clear over the last few months. Our members are sick of the Council’s narrative and the fact that we’re paid much less than other Councils. Members have also told us they have been made to feel less important and undervalued by TRC due to what started as payments to some employees to stop them resigning from the Council.

The number of employees now in receipt the of the “Critical Worker Temporary Allowance “ has grown significantly and rightly so, they deserve it. Employees not in receipt of this payment are equally important, deserve a larger wage increase and should be valued more by TRC.

The Council doesn’t want to hear the TSU bargaining team talking about wages at the negotiation table anymore, they obviously have to hear from employees on the ground and our chance is coming very soon.

Our STRIKE COMMITTEE has discussed several options and as delegates, we would like to invite you along to a meeting so we can update you on the last negotiation meeting and to discuss the next steps.
