Windsor Income Protection now available! How to cancel your old insurance.

Congratulations on your new Enterprise Agreement, which came into operation on 9 July 2024!

As you know, our Union played a key role in delivering the fantastic conditions in this Agreement – with one of these fantastic outcomes being the introduction of comprehensive third party income protection through Windsor Income Protection!

The new income protection policy will be fully funded by EQL and will include the following benefits:



Members should review their current cover, seek financial advice if necessary and contact Windsor on 1300 547 966 with any specific questions.

For those of you wondering about cancelling your coverage with Brighter to avoid the income protection premiums being deducted from your Brighter Super balance, please complete the cancellation form, which can be accessed by clicking this link . 

We have written to Energy Queensland to request it continue paying the premium for a grace period to ensure that you don't face any out of pocket expenses. We will provide you with more information when it is available.

For those of you wondering about back-pay, rest assured that we are working closely with EQL on this issue. Expect to receive further communication from the business in the near future around backpay timeframes.
